About
We build trust verification tools for the synthetic-media internet.
checkreal.ai is a platform of focused detection tools — for images, video, text, voice, music, and screenshots — connected to a single Truth Score format. Our goal is unglamorous: help people decide whether a piece of digital content is worth trusting before they act on it.
What we believe
Detection is one input among several, not a verdict. Every score we produce is paired with a signal breakdown so users can judge the result in context. We refuse to ship tools that imply a level of confidence the technology cannot support — see our methodology for the detail.
Who we serve
Journalists vetting viral clips, educators triaging student work, marketplace sellers checking payment proofs, recruiters reviewing LinkedIn profiles, and people who got a strange message and want a second opinion. The site is organized around those use cases — see the audience pages for the workflows we support directly.
How the platform is built
One unified scoring engine routes inputs by content type into specialized signal models. The current version is a demo engine — useful for evaluating the format and workflow, but not a forensic tool. Production detection capabilities are in active development, with provenance and C2PA-style content credential support on the roadmap.
Editorial standards
Articles on the blog are written or reviewed by people who work directly on detection. We disclose limitations rather than oversell capabilities. We update posts when the technology behind them shifts and mark the revised date visibly.
Funding and conflicts
checkreal.ai is independent. We do not accept paid placement in articles, comparison pages, or detection-tool reviews. When we mention a competing product, the assessment is editorial. If that ever changes, this page will say so.
